| Just thought I would try to get a few more people's idea about cutting factions to make room for the Georgia Unit Roster.
My suggestion was to look at each of the current factions and determine if they can lose one unit. I know not all factions will be able to but that is ok as we don't need that many units. I know we will get a few from the Crusader States and maybe one or 2 from AOR units and naval units. But if you guys wouldn't mind naming one unit that will free up a slot from a faction. You don't have to look at all factions just one or two and maybe someone else will move on to one that hasn't been posted. I appreciate the help. The team would really like to lock this down so we can move on to developing the submod.

| y2day,
When you go on a Crusade you get Pilgrims and another unit, name escapes me, but it is some hoodies with staffs. You can get rid of one of these, some goes with Jihad, you get Ghazi's and Al-Mutah, don't need both, could change mercs to double up on the other one

| Border horse and Svenner can be merged as mounted sergeants. What are the spearmen? I don't think they are needed. They are just cheap and crappy form of spear sergeants. Templar Longbowmen seems even not existed. Perhaps chop down either "Archers" or "Levy Archers". Transylvanian peasants are just fancy units. They can't even withstand the charges of mt. sergeant and their morale is too low and not worth to fill a slot in an army. | |

| gwent raiders can go.
In David Nicolle "Crusader Warfare vol1" which covers various christian armies he deals briefly with Georgia. To paraphrase King David III's army no longer consisted purely of feudal levies but included mercenaries - mainly Kipchaq who were their northern allies. (although king David IV was king by 1100)
This being the case you can use generic levy troops and Kipchaq units for Georgia in early era.
Georgia disappeared under the Mongols early in 13th century - so we needn't bother with late era troops (or faction.)

| We can remove the French Feudal Knights and French Chivalric Knights and for removing them just increase the unit pool of normal Feudal and Chivalric Knights slightly for France. Increased Availability of Gendarmes, Feudal and Chivalric Knights, and the presence of Noble Knights and Lancers are enough for representation of France's superior cavalry in the game. So it leaves next 2 unit slots for Georgian unit roster. | |
