I highly recommend "Winmerge", very easy to use, practical and free:

does anyone knows a good starter guide to research nations-factions?
no what to find but in which order is able to write them, anyone?
something like this i look but better:
Historical Overview: A general description of the faction and it's history (preferrably from the SA, but it might be better to also add information from the other ages as well since little is known/written about them).
Economic Overview: Economic situation, as far as it is possible to find.
Trading Resources: What resources the faction should have (like wood or wine).
Political Alignment: Relationship with the other factions.
Military Overview: Fighting style and history.
faction Units: Possible units/weaponry used by this faction.
faction Structures: Seems self explanatory to me.
